Welcome! My name is Nico Van Ostrand (name only or they/them). I am an educator, a non-binary Filipino, and an anti-colonial scholar.
This platform holds two projects: classes and Intro to Race for Kids.
I offer tai chi classes for both adults and children, and hold calming space for teens and young adults. All of my classes are donation based and currently hosted online.
My Intro to Race for Kids is a month-long set of stories and activities for families who are looking for a starting point for talking to their kids about race and racism. Please pay as you are able and credit me for my work.
